If you have been a regular reader of our blog, you must have realized by now, that we do have an inclination towards mythology and we never miss a chance to cover travel stories of the Gods either. Here comes another one, after all, its Durga Puja!
Readers might feel that we are obsessed with Durga Puja. The fact is we live in Kolkata and we actually are obsessed with Durga Puja! The festival is just a few weeks away and we can see the madness in the city. Idols are undergoing the final finishing, pandals are in process, entire city is shopping and traffic problems have almost doubled but we love it this way. It is that time of the year which everybody waits for. Well, almost everybody. Food, fun, fashion, family, friends, the level of excitement knows no boundaries.

We assume travelbug has bitten almost everybody who can even remotely afford it. And God’s are no far behind (affordance being of least consideration). It’s summer vacations in most parts of the country and it’s that time of the year when people holiday with families. So does Lord Jagannath as today he is leaving on his 7 day trip to his aunt’s place (mausi ka ghar) with his beloved brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra.
