Readers might feel that we are obsessed with Durga Puja. The fact is we live in Kolkata and we actually are obsessed with Durga Puja! The festival is just a few weeks away and we can see the madness in the city. Idols are undergoing the final finishing, pandals are in process, entire city is shopping and traffic problems have almost doubled but we love it this way. It is that time of the year which everybody waits for. Well, almost everybody. Food, fun, fashion, family, friends, the level of excitement knows no boundaries.
Although this festival is celebrated in many parts of the country, the grandeur in Kolkata is beyond words. Again obsession speaks.
For 2017, the festival begins on 19th September (Mahalaya) and ends on 30th September (Dashami). If you are anywhere near during this period or even if you are not, we suggest a trip to Kolkata. And while you are here and wondering where to start from, keep our blogpost Queen of Calcutta bookmarked.
While the creative heads of the city are working on various themes for their pandals, our creative head has come up with a Minion Durga and has named it MAANION – Maa + Minion! Isn’t this amazingly cute?

Wonderful blog you have here but I was curious about if you knew of any discussion boards that cover the
same topics discussed in this article? I’d really love to be a part of group where I
can get opinions from other experienced individuals that share the same interest.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Cheers!
